The KX-TS600W is call waiting caller ID compatible (requires a subscription) and requires no batteries to operate. A three-line LCD screen provides access to the name and number of the person calling, along with the date and time of their call. You can scroll through the list of the 20 most recent calls, and redial any of them with the touch of a button. Hands-free Operation
A headset jack is located on the base, and can accommodate a standard 2.5 mm headset (available separately); a speakerphone is also located on the base, supplying you with hands-free operation. A redial button lets you quickly dial the last outgoing number, while the flash button provides access to call waiting. Handset and ringer volume controls allow you to adjust levels to your liking. Is it so difficult to simply make a telephone that does what it's supposed to do. Now I have to package it up with the incvoice, the reason for return on a separate page, go and post it at my expense and wait for them to send me a refurbished replacement. In 2 months I have replaced the batteries 3 times; this last time they only lasted a few days. I should have. Another inexcusable annoyance is that, as a wall phone, it attaches only in 1 place, which causes it to swing if you move/walk while using the handset. I did not heed earlier reviews regarding the battery power problem with this phone. Don't buy it. Panasonic customer service actually had the nerve to suggest I replace them again with Panasonic brand batteries (instead of the new Duracell Alkaline AAs I used).
This is a great product it serves the purpose that I bought it for and I would buy the same item again.
Need to hold my mouth VERY CLOSE to the headset when speaking. This also becomes unsanitary. If not, the other party often has difficulty hearing me. DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT.
Also, there is no message waiting indicator when you have a voicemail (voicemail through phone system not answering machine). The negatives are it requires batteries. This is not for backup only.it is soley powered by batteries. If you just need the basics, it's fine. There is no power source to plug in. good volume, speakerphone, headset jack which seems hard to find in a corded phone, and it has caller id.
Great wall phone. Fast delivery. Really like the caller ID & large phone book to store numbers in.
