Panasonic RP-HT21 Lightweight Headphones with XBS port for increased bass response Reviews
I used to have the ear buds which were becoming annoying & sometimes even hurting, so I needed a more 'ergonomic' headphone & bought this one. I like to listen MP3s and FM radio at work. It is comfortable, the sound quality is VERY good for the price. If you fall for the 'value for money', then this one is for you.
Anyway, as the old ones are beginning to wear out I found these new ones and decided to purchase. Overall I highly recommend them. My one complaint is they are using thinner foam that decreases their comfort level somewhat. I have an old pair of XBS headphones that came w/ a portable CD player. I've always liked their full sound, so when I changed over to an mp3 player, it was no surprise that I found them to sound the best for that format too. I am one of those people that can't keep earbuds in my ears, they always fall out and/or don't sit right in my ear and sound "tinny". They have the same full, rich sound as my old ones and at a price that makes them disposable anymore.
Yes, these are open headphones with no noise cancellation feature so they leak a bit of sound, but only enough so that the people really nearby can hear muffled if the volume is too high. Value: 5/5. Yes, for $15 the Koss KSC75 does sound better but comfort goes down quite a lot with those as they're ear-clip headphones that don't want to stay on your head whilst you move and the ear clips are easy to lose, so you're sacrificing durability and comfort for sound quality. The drivers themselves vertically adjust to your ears to add to the comfort. I can wear these for 8+ hours and even sleep with them on. And they don't block outside noise too well, but you must sacrifice comfort and style and get some huge closed headphones if you need to block outside noise. It's a small thing, but I also like that it has an L-shaped plug. I've owned these for a year now and these still sound and feel as great as day 1.
For a $3 pair of nice, superbly comfortable, clear sounding headphones with some bass that you can feel, no other headphones will offer the value you will get for this one. Durability: 4.5/5. Comfort: 5/5. Yes, for $50 the Sennheiser px100 does sound better, offer richer bass, and better volume sensitivity, but it's 15 times the price of these headphones.
Bass: 3/5. Sound Quality: 3.5/5. I once steped on them and a driver popped out, but you just pop them back in and they're good as new.
Take my advice and take off the pads that come with the headphones and wear them raw - not only does this make the sound clearer and the bass punchier, but your ears will stay cool and comfortable also. Comes with an adequate 4-foot portable cord, and looks nice. Volume Sensitivity: 3/5. If you have the money though, they are an upgrade from the RP-HT21.
Isolation: 2.5/5. And I especially LOVE its comfort. Still probably the best $3 you will ever spend. I like the clear, fun sound from the RP-HT21 and the nice punchy bass that you can feel hitting your ears.
I think this is one of the best headphones compared to its price, the deep bass and clear sound really makes your listening enjoyable, i bought thiz headphone as a temporary solution, because i was planning to buy good quality headphones for around 50-100, but i am 100 per cent satisfied with the sound quality of this product, i recommend it to everyone who is searching for hi-quality sound and affordable price.
this light-weight headphone is a great value- portable, and ideal for the gym or outside walks.
