The Panasonic RQ-L31 Portable Cassette Player with Slide Microphone is a compact, handheld microcassette recorder. You'll be able to achieve up to 25 hours of recording with just two AA batteries. This recorder features a valuable voice activation system that helps conserve tape space -- recording begins as soon as sound is detected and stops when there is a lull in conversation so you'll never waste valuable tape. The built-in front speaker makes for easy listening so you can review recordings without headphones. There are two selectable recording speeds -- the faster speed makes clearer recordings for reproduction, while the slower speed is perfect for voice memos and audio note taking. The slower speed triples the recording time of the microcassette, which is great for those meetings or lectures that never seem to end on time. Priced right too. I'm enjoying this product. It has so many great features and will allow me to transfer some of my best cassettes tapes to my PC - burning them to a CD.
This is a product which a visually impaired person has used for years with great ease and success. The durability is great. I am glad to see we were able to order another for her.
This is a perfect recorder to put in your pocket while you are walking, doing chores, doing yardwork, or just sitting by a fire while camping. I listen to books on tape. It is small and portable, so I can take it with me everywhere. Get lots of batteries and enjoy. I use this cassette recorder all the time.
I really haven't had a chance to use it for the purpose I intended (language training and personal counseling).I will only know this after the holidays. The tape recorder is exactly what I wanted and seems to operate nicely. I'm surprised that it didn't come with a plastic case. Ervinka Thank you.
I also like the fact it has jacks for ac adapter, external microphone and earphones. It takes standard cassette tapes. It is plastic, so take care of it and you will probably get good service. I do handle it with reasonable care. I got my recorder about 3-4 months ago. To me that is a plus. So far, so good. I have used it for voice recording with good results.
