A good DVD player, and all you need to do to watch foreign DVDs is enter the manufacturer's backdoor code.
It looks very good with my other electronics and it plays all my DVD's including recorded ones. I really like my player, I was able to put in a region 2 DVD in and it played at once. The only thing that is a draw back is as others have said before me, the remote responeds slow.
If you want to play all DVDs regardless of format and region coding, this is a high quality yet inexpensive unit. Unlike the prior two Sony DVD players I owned, this one does not freeze up when the memory buffer or whatever gets messed up. I have no complaints.
This Philips multi-regions DVD player plays it all. Fast delivery, item arrived in excellent condition. Besides that, I only have good words to say about the product. I am very satisfied to have purchased this product. I strongly recommend it. The only drawback I can find is that there is no fast forward or rewind on either the remote control or on the DVD device. You insert the DVD (no matter what region it is) and it plays it without bothering of any kind (no code to enter, etc.).
Amazing stuff, and I recommend this DVD player to anyone who wants a reliable player, compact and stylish for the great price. The features that the DVD offers can fit to just about any model, make, size and shape of televisions and having Progressive Scan enables you to watch movies that are not normally in HD.in HD. The only thing that could make this DVD player better would be for it to be able to come in Blue-Ray compatible. Other than that minute detail, this DVD player is the best thing for me, since I constantly engage in watching foreign films, where my XBOX 360 and my other portable DVD player could not play DVD from Areas 3, 4 and various others.
