Our conference room is approximately 12x12. Recommendation is to use the guidelines but order it if after you determine you need it through actual use. When we got the base unit and tried it out, people on the other end of the line commented that they could not hear people 5 feet away from the base unit. Hence, we went ahead and bought the extensions to put at the ends of the table. No more comments.
The Conference Phone works great. Delivery was quick. I highly recommend it. My boss was impressed with the sound quality and I liked the display. Everything came properly packed.
I needed microphones for an audio tape deck (stereo) for documentation. Again, nothing in the online text for the product explained that the connections were telephone connectors. I had to return this product. The specifications were not detailed enough when I read the information online.
If it were phono or RCA connectors it would have been fine I believe. While all the other print information for this Polycom product looked fine, unfortunately it was the wrong choice. Polycom 2200-16155-001 SOUNDSTATION2 Extension Mics with Cables.
The connectors on this product were telephone jack connectors.
Tried the less expensive d-link conference room phone and it just didn't cut - the polycom is MUCH better.
They're pricey, but they always do the job. Bought these to go with our Soundstation 2. They work great. We've had a number of Polycom products over the years.
