Powers of 2 Clock Reviews
If you can read binary then I highly recommend this clock. It is awesome.
One if the fact that you can operate the clock in either 12 hour or 24 hour mode. Most interesting is watching the shift from 23:59:59: to 00:00:00, it is so cool to see the entire clock blackout for the one second before starting the next day. A worthwhile purchase for both converstation as well as accuracy.
There area several features I really like about the clock. It keeps perfect time and for those of us that are "nerds" anyway, it is absolutely perfect. It can be mezmorizing actually. It is great the clock can be set in either simple binary or true binary mode.
Half of the fun it watching the patterns develop in the dots. Either is just as easy to read and is just the difference of whether you perfer simple 8-bit or 16-bit type operation. The clock is a great conversational piece in addition to being very functional. Personally, I hate 12 hour mode and have made plenty of mistakes with alarm clocks, VCR's and such setting the wrong "M".
There are 10 kinds of people in the world, those who understand binary numbers and those who don't.
This clock does a wonderful job of displaying time in that same simplicity. There are no complicated settings or instructions.just two buttons on the back to set the hour and minute. Binary is in its very essence.simple: on or off. Since most of my computer skills are really nothing more than "smoke and mirrors", this little clock has helped add to my reputation of technical prowess.just b/c I understand 1's and 0's.This is probably my favorite gift from Christmas last year. The instructions clearly show where to start counting seconds, then minutes and then hours.so it's not a problem figuring out how to read the time.I constantly have people come by and ask what "that thing" is on my desk.
It is unique, eye-catching and well designed. The instructions are easy, and you will be able to tell time with this clock in.well, no time. If you're a clock watcher anyway, this clock is for you.
