Recoton DVD647 RF Modulator

The V647 RF Modulator allows the use of DVD players, video game systems, camcorders, and other video components when the television is not equipped with an audio/video jack. The device combines audio/video line-level signals into an RFoutput signal (necessary for televisions with only a 75-ohm RF coaxial input). The V647RF offers a separate antenna/cable TV input that eliminates the need for switching cables back and forth; a channel 3 or 4 output selector switch that ensures compatibility with most televisions and an Auto sensing A/B switch that automatically switches back and forth between antenna and video source.

Recoton DVD647 RF Modulator Reviews

I love this thing. My bedroom TV is very old and only has a coax input. The Recoton DVD647 RF Modulator has allowed me to connect both my Tivo and my DVD player to it and automatically switch between the two.

The product did everything it should but my 3 year old tugged a bit on it and easily broke the "nub" off the back where the Coax plugged into. I didn't try to return it as we only needed this modulater for 5 weeks and it isn't worth the hassle.

This is a nice RF modulator for less than $12.00. I bought this for my step son to use with his Leapster at his Mom's and as far as I know it works fine. It is a bit oversized and does not include the cords to connect to the TV.

I found a much smaller rf modulator at the local family dollar. This product works well but it is oversized.

The picture quality is so-so but the audio is excellent. But it'll suffice. Used it to plug in my Wii at my parents home when I visit. If there's a version by Nintendo, that'd be the one I'd buy. It's not as good as plugging in the component cables.
