River City Clocks 801-396 Atomic Beehive Styled Shelf Clock Reviews

One for my mother, one for my mother-in-law, for Mother's Day 2007. They're packaged quite nicely for shipping, too. My mom lives in South Carolina, and just yesterday, it finally switched to Daylight Savings. Unfortunately for my mom, the change-over seems to have made her clock's minute-hand to stop. The point is, my family is happy with their clocks, and I wouldn't hesitate to purchase another one. I've offered to jump through the hoops to return it since it's been less than a year, but she's quite happy with just having a functional hour hand (which she claims is all she needs). My MIL lives in Los Angeles, and it's working just fine (but didn't switch to Daylight Savings until last week).

The clock was exactly what I expected. It was a Christmas present for my wife and she is thrilled with it. Outstanding delivery, as well.

I have moved it to several locations, but it cannot keep time anymore. I am disappointed as this was my favorite clock. I have several radio-controlled clocks and they are able to find the signal, so I know it's not the location. A few months ago, the batteries died. It worked great for about 2 years. When I replaced them, the hands went around and around until the batteries died. I bought this for my office. It had a little trouble finding the signal sometimes, but eventually found it.

This clock looks great in our living room and it is very cool that it automatically updates the time. My only hesitation is that I'm not sure that the temperature and humidity measurements are accurate. But if you just want a classy looking clock that you never need to set, this is a great deal. It looks a lot more expensive than it is. They never seem to change, and seem much lower than the feel of the room.

I have two other atomic clocks in my house that also display temperature and humidity. I set mine in the afternoon and when I looked at it the next morning it had adjusted to the correct time and hasn't deviated since. The temperature and humidity also appear to be correct. Overall, I am very pleased with the performance, price, and appearance. It looks great on the fireplace mantle. The clock then sets itself, but it displays the wrong time until it receives the atomic signal. All three seem to be in sync. The set-up of the clock was very simple: insert battery and press button for time zone.
