I definetly am going to buy the medal sides for the pedal too. Just make sure the pedal is sanded and smooth near the hinge.

but I went the quick approach and saved some time by just ordering it. I recommend to anyone. Thanks for the fix. My wife and I were getting withdrawals from not being able to play. those who just bought the game and haven't hooked it up yet as well as those who have and might not have even broken it.
Sure enough within a few days the pedal broke. but all-in-all it made it just that much more comfortable. I immediatly made a quick fix out of a spare high hat stand and ended up breaking it within the week. I'm a huge fan of rock band and a real drummer. this one died even sooner.
and in reality the assembly is common sense. then proceeded to make a second. the next step was my bass drum pedal, and I could feel it quivering with fear when I created a frankenstien of a drum pedal. I've been playing since the age of 8 and am a hard hitting drummer. with no hope left I discovered this product.
the only thing I was skeptical on was the plastic hinge that it uses. lasted for about two weeks or so and then wound up like the others. I have broken everything from pedals to the drums themselved to even real cymbals. cant get and simpler really. I have been using it for a month now and have not had any problems what so ever.
the instructions for those who need them are straight forward. Now if you are like me and have a workshop laying around you can make one of these. When I purchased the drum kit I knew it wouldn't last the punishment.
The drill holes were not all perfectly aligned, but good enough. I tried duct tape, packaging tape, perhaps even chewing gum.nothing worked. The diamond plate and clear plastic piece that fits underneath it actually screw into your old black and orange pedal parts. Be careful to save all your previous broken pedal parts, as you will need them to assemble the pedal. But this pedal did the job. I have had no problems with it so far and am very glad I purchased it. My rockband drum kit pedal broke in two places. Rock on.
This product is fantastic. He was right, this is so easy to set up, (once you find a drill) It had me playing within 10 minutes, it feels more sturdier than before. I bought because a friend on xbox live told me it was good. My drum pedal broke in half mid song, and i thought i would never be able to play, unless i bought a new drum set, but no, with this beauty i can rock out till i have people bangin on the floor telling me to keep it down.
