Works well. Same guitar but it works much better. The original controller in the Rockband bundle did not have good action and did not connect well with the PS3. Tried again when this came out.
The only trouble I really have with it is activating the "star power" or overdrive or whatever it is. I hate having to hit select whenever I want to activate because it breaks my concentration on the song. I hated the guitar at first, but I'm getting used to it and it's not as bad anymore. This game is extremely fun and will make time fly by.
It seems, that amazon and J and R music, are having difficulty, getting two, of these wireless beauties, to me. They have been paid already.not my idea of a fun on line shopping experience. It's been.almost 45 days now.still waiting. I'm sure these guitars rock.if they actually exist.
This one I have to do it hard, or maybe twice or three times before it would go into overdrive, it is kind of frustrating, but just to share with you guys the experience that I had. First one I got, it will not sense me have tilted the guitar, and not matter how hard I try to tilted it, it will go into overdrive mode, I have to press "select" button to use it. I didn't purchase mine from Amazon, but from gamestop store. Returned, and got another one. This time, when I tilted it, it does go into overdrive, but not as sensitive as the one that came with the whole package. The stock one will go into overdrive if it senses me slightly going upward.
Since the initial purchase of my Rock Band on PS3, I've waited patiently for the 2nd guitar to complete out the band. Choosing not to go the devious route to get my second guitar was hard, but worth it. I've waited 4 months for this guitar. Now to win more fans and money. The guitar is exactly like the one in the Rock Band box set and works seamlessly with my PS3 and the game.
