Salton Philippe Starck Wet Tunes AM/FM Bathroom/Shower Clock Radio
Placed on a vanity or hung in the shower, this unique AM/FM bathroom clock radio makes a hip statement as it plays the news or your favorite tunes. The Wet Tunes was designed by the celebrated Parisian architect, inventor, and designer Philippe Starck. The rectilinear radio is divided into three sections of different textures, all made of a silver metallic-look durable plastic. A waterproof Mylar speaker resists moisture. The large LCD features 3/4-inch jumbo numerals that even bleary morning eyes can read, and features a backlight for nighttime viewing. Four controls along the side adjust volume and tuning, switch from AM to FM, and turn on the light. An indentation on the back allows the radio to be hung on an existing nail or hook, or on the included plastic hook that includes one 3/8-inch-long screw. While the Wet Tunes is moisture resistant it is not waterproof, so immersion in water should be avoided. The clock radio measures 7-1/4 by 2-3/8 by 2-3/8 inches and comes with a 9-volt battery and a one-year warranty. --Ann Bieri

Salton Philippe Starck Wet Tunes AM/FM Bathroom/Shower Clock Radio Reviews
I use it right now as a clock / paperweight in my living room. Okay design, but pretty sucky implementation. If you want a shower radio, I suggest just getting a wall-outlet connected cheap clock/radio. I agree with the other reviewers.
Controls too sensitive for comfort. Reception is poor. But totally plastic up close. Looks 5 star from afar. Now I will think twice before buying a Starck designed product. And to top it - a battery drainer.
The reception on both AM and FM stations was very poor. The digital tuner has rotary controls, and they are very touchy. There are no presets. It was difficult to dial in a specific station frequency. When switching between AM and FM bands, the radio does not return to the previously tuned station on that band.
