I bought this TV based on price and reputation and haven't been disappointed. The picture is awesome. I also found it incredibly easy to set up. I already have a 27 inch 720p HDTV and the difference is stunning. The big ergonomic remote is highly intuitive and easy to find, yet looks very techie. If I have a complaint it the internal speakers that don't push out enough sound, especially when viewing DVD's
Purchased Lcd TV from Adorama Camera and was sent a shipping conformation date. I insisted on talking to the owner, and was told he would call me back. Be wary of the bait and switch these guys try to get you to either pay more or accept a lesser unit. Next thing I know my order was cancelled and payment returned. They claimed Amazon made the error on the model price. Mendowitz, but kept getting transfered to diffrent sales people. Then a couple days later, recieved a call from salesperson asking for a $175 dollars more for the model I purchased.
They tried to offer me a lesser unit, but I refused. I told them that this was not my problem and that I expected the unit that I bought to be shipped as per the conformation I recieved. I tried to get trnsfered to the owner, Mr. So I filed a complaint with the BBB in New York on this firm.
With this screen size you really can't tell the difference. Great product - I have a 46" Samsung and love the TV. This one is also just as high quality. However, I should have skipped the 1080p on a 32" and stuck with the 720.
The digital photo quality is just stunning when viewed on this TV. -USB port for viewing (and very limited editing) of photos from a digital camera. I use this TV to quickly screen photos from my digital camera by loading them through the USB port. -Excellent picture quality. -Flexibility (energy saving modes, ability to change image size,variety of audio modes).
We don't watch sports or use it for games. I purchased an HDMI cable through Amazon for connecting the DVD player to the TV, and saved a bundle by comparison to the local vendors. I can delete the duds using the TV remote, which is a big timesaver for me (and easier on my eyes than using my computer monitor). We use it to watch TV and movies and to screen digital photos.
The combo works very well together. We also purchased an upscaling DVD player (Philips DVP 5992/37, Costco) to go with this TV until Blueray players drop in price. -Easy to read and understand remote. Makes it hard to access the back of the TV if inside cabinetry. -Well written instruction manual. You can quickly create an onscreen slide show. -Automatically communicates with DVD player via HDMI connection (no hunting for the video channel). -Lateral rotation of TV on stand is limited (maybe 45 degrees).
The picture quality is fantastic. -Does not automatically display all photos in upright position, and you have to go three levels into a menu to do this. Pros:. We finally made the plunge and purchased this TV. Cons:.
Blacks are deep, whites are bright and flesh tones are natural. The HDTV programs are great. If you are going to put it in a family room or living room you might consider adding speakers. The LN-32A550 SAMSUNG is fantastic. The simple piano black finish and lack of chrome make this TV look sleek and modern. The sound is only average but I have it in my bedroom. There are more setting in the menue for picture and sound than any other HDTV I looked at.
Don't let anyone tell you that you can't tell the difference between a 720p and a 1080p in this size TV because you can. Swival stand and backlit remote are great features. Digital programs are very good and SD programs are above average depending on the channel (can't wait for February). 3 HDMI ports and all the other ports you could want in a TV this size including a USB port for showing pictures and firmware updates.
