Pros. It's all in that compact cube. 3. We love this laser multi-function. Toner. We don't do heavy printing in our house and it has been perfect for us. Scanning software is a little bit clunky, but not too bad once you've used it a couple of times.
Profile. 4. We've had it for about 4 months. I'm so glad I'm not getting ripped off by the injet scam any more. 2. This thing is a good size, but what puts it over the top is its lack of appendages. Who needs a fax machine. Nothing sticks out.
Just bought a 3000+ page toner cartridge for less than $50. Great price. 1. I love to scan and email.
I am very satisfied with this three in one laser printer. However, I was reimbursed for most of the cost. It was very easy to install except for the missing USB cable which I had to purchase from the local electronics' store. This printer is quiet, efficient, and a pleasure to use in addition to the reasonable price.
My recommendation. I had a Lexmark Optra 310 for 10 years and it was a beautiful workhorse of a printer and I hoped the same for this one.
Also - the scan quality is really terrible - it puts lines through the scans. Printing a longer piece - say 300 pages - is a complete nightmare and could possibly consume your day.
1 out of 5 print runs (I usually print 5-10 pages at a time) works successfully, otherwise one needs stand over it to baby out pages that have been jammed (and when it does jam, it loses count of pages, destroys three and you have to piece a printing back together). However, incessant printer jams make the blood pressure rise with this printer.
Look elsewhere. Alas, no.
I love the functionality - a scanner and a printer in one with a low profile.
The only cons I've noticed: it jams the envelope when I insert them through the manual feeder. So far I'm very happy with this printer. And that's it.
Envelopes don't lie flat after printing unless I'm doing something else wrong. Assuming I get all the features to work, I wouldn't recommend because it is not up to my expectation of laser print quality. This is attached to a Mac. I am disappointed with the print quality. Still haven't figured out how to use the scanner to save images. Instructions are limited. The very old HP one I use with my PC gives a much sharper image.
