Samsung Touch Of Color T220HD 22-inch LCD HDTV Monitor Reviews

Is this due to the tuner in this set. I guess Samsung assumes you are going to use a separate sound system. On this set it's clearly softer then the HDMI inputs so if you have HDMI compatible devices, use it. It changes with the channel. This is an excellent purchase as long as you know the sound problems.

Our cable system uses HD boxes that don't talk well with the Samsung. The picture is as good as you can imagine, excellent color and contrast. This was a problem with our first Samsung two years ago and it hasn't been dealt with yet. Samsung really should make a one piece model with decent forward facing speakers.

Our HDMI cables arrived a few days after the set so we used the component input first. We have it connect to a HD cable box, a HDMI DVD player and an aerial. This is our second Samsung HDTV monitor and it lives up to the 32" we have. Sometimes we get an error message that implores us to use component instead of HDMI but it goes away quickly and the box works anyway. We can't tell yet. There are a few issues that you might be interested in:. Also the cable box sometimes puts out a signal that causes a slight contrast change at the top and bottom of the picture. Our 32" set which is far from the windows gets better reception then this set which is next to a window.

We live in an apartment so the aerial reception is spotty. The sound is dreadful, not bad but dreadful. I put together a sound set up with some old multimedia speakers I have (Klipsch) and an optical to analog audio converter Digital Audio To Analog Audio Converter and use the cable box AC socket to power up the audio system but most people don't want to figure out something like this. It never happens with the DVD player or the aerial.

Only fault is the quality of. Great deal for the price though. the speakers. 5+ stars. Terrific television for the money.

I don't have cable TV, so I just bought a cheap attenna from Bestbuy and plug it into the back of the monitor and I get about 12 crystal clear, digital channels. I would recommend this product to anyone. Great product. This single monitor is a two in one, television and a computer monitor. The remote control is easy to switch back and forth between TV and computer input. This monitor provides great picture quality.

If you don't stretch it, you will have black bars to the left and right of the picture. I don't like watching tv with short and fat people as happens when you stretch the picture to fill the screen if the transmission is not in 16x9. With Regular cable, the picture is very grainy and not that nice. For people looking for watching TV NOT with Hi-definition, stick with a regular aspect TV. As a computer monitor, yhe screen is a bit dark even after adjusting all available picture controls. I recently bought a plasma HDTV and don't have the blurry picture so perhaps it's this TV and not the HD experience overall.

When watching the olymipics in Hi-definition, the picture was blurry during the fast action sequences. This was my first HDTV. It looks nice though when watching a channel in high definition in 16x9 aspect. In fact the tv picture is a bit dark too. I was hoping for better.

The price was unbelivable, similar monitors at 720I were priced much higher. GREAT Monitor/TV. Easy set up out of the box, functional remote and OK sound. FANTASTIC picture quality at 1080, regular TV, well is regular TV.
