I was a little hesitant to get this at first since the model #'s did not match that of the battery for the HD1010, but it has been working just fine.

Sanyo DB-L50AU Lithium-Ion Battery for HD1000 Camcorder. There's really nothing more to say, it works as it should. Not as stylish as the Eveready Bunny but, hey, it saves you from missing the video, right. Every camera owner should always have at hand 1 or more spare batteries.
