Sanyo ECJ-N100W 10-Cup Electric Rice Cooker with Porridge/Soup Cooker and Steamer Reviews

The cover is not closed very tight. I exchanged one, it still spills. I don't recommend this brand. It spills out water when you cook the rice.

It's very easy to clean. I have put off buying a rice cooker for years and I am so sorry I did. This is wonderful-it's so easy, just add the rice and water close the lid and wait. It makes the best rice. I would buy it again in a second and not wait so long.

I was simply looking for a basic rice cooker which had a non-stick surface. This cooker provides far more options than I need, but I will certainly make use of them. The Sanyo Rice Cooker is a far better product than I had anticipated. Additionally I wanted to avoid cookers which had plastic in direct contact with the food being prepared.

2) Easy to clean and water does not leak. Keep warm funciton is not a great option in any rice cooker though. Closed lid allows us to keep rice covered all times. This is missing in this cooker. As a previous reviewer said, most cookers switch to keep warm function. 1) You need to use atleast 3 cups of raw rice minimum. 1) Cooks good rice. There is no tick sound or any alarm to indicate this.

Ofcourse, it has 20 cup capacity and so this is not a major flaw. Cons:. After a while, I could smell something burning and realized that it automatically switches to warm function without any indication. 2) After the rice is cooks, it automatically switches to keep warm function. The first time I used this, I was expecting a tick sound (like most rice cookers). 3) Unit looks neat.

This is a bad design. No doubt, but there will be a tick sound to alert the user. Pros:. 3) Rice gets burnt if you dont unplug the unit on time.

My old National does not do this. A good rice cooker. The warm function is as another reviewer said before, warmer than my old National ricer cooker. If you leave it in warm mode overnight, it will create a thin layer of yellowish overcooked rice. I would think it can last 5 years with daily usage and good maintemaince. Aside from this, it is a good cooker.
