Satechi (Black) Dock Station Stereo Round Speaker for Ipod Nano , Classic, Touch G1 with Remote Control Reviews
the remote control battery holder was a little hard to open and it looks like I need to change the battery but I really like this and am ordering a second one. Very compact. Works right out of the box.
But I put it at the head of my bed, and listen to it every night when I am sleeping. I bought it last week and I like it very much. Strongly recommend. The light music with a small volume will create a wonderful sound quality. If you put the volume too loud, it won't sound pretty.
It gets rather distorted the louder you get. I recommend it for anyone looking for a cheap desk speaker and intend to play it mostly at low volumes. The sound is perfect at low volumes. I read about the controls being 'difficult' in previous reviews- not so much difficult as unnecessary. All in all its what I expected for the price.
I didn't want anything too fancy. You have to simultaneously push 2 buttons to either raise or lower the volume- and it does so rather rapidly. It's perfectly sized for my desk and holds my iPod Touch perfectly. The remote is useful once you get accustomed to the buttons differing from the traditional iPod wheel. It's primary use is at my desk at a very low volume.
However, the remote does not always work right away (you may have to push the button several times to get it to recognize).
I sent it back very quickly. I had hoped I found the right speakers for my iPod Touch, but this device was not it. The sound quality was very poor, and the remote worked if I was standing at the device.
You would, for instance, amaze the guy in the airplane seat next to you. Great sound system. Please rein in unrealistic expectations. It's a couple of plastic disks with grills. This device is a perfectly fine way to play an iPod so every guest can admire your musical taste and venturesome attitude. It's good for the modest task at hand. Is okay for in-home background music while a dinner party finds its way to a generally pleasant conclusion.
