Once you get the basics down it becomes a lot interesting. A little hard to learn how to play.
This "expansion" is unauthorized by Ubisoft, and because the makers are charging money for it, is illegal. Save yourself some money and don't help these thieves. In addition, any of the features found in this "expansion" can be had for free from mod-makers at various websites dedicated to submarine simulations.
I had to return the product to Amazon at a cost. It is not a stand alone game. Even the fine print on Amazon does not tell you that this is an add-on to another game that you must have.
It also added more ports and the air zones change during the game and more interesting radio messages. The addition adds ships in to ports, escorts, mine fields, different convoy routes and more convoys. It does not crash my 1.6 Ghz or 2.4 Ghz AMD computers. Excellent add-ons. It does make the game load slower but it adds what was missing from the game.
This is an absolutely MUST HAVE for Silent Hunter 3 fans/owners. Best submarine simulation available - period.
