Shenmue 2 Reviews

I played Shenmue for the dreamcast and enjoyed being able to run around Japan to search for clues. If you do not like games where you have to sit down and think about where to go then I would not recommend this for you. Shenmue 2 starts in Hong Kong. The only disappointment is that it looks like Shemnue 3 will never be released.

This game is not just all running around and games but you also get to use your karate to defeat people in your way. I personally love this series. I enjoyed running from place to place getting part time jobs, playing the street gambling games, etc. But even if you do not want to complete the game there are many side quests and games to play such as arm wrestling. But if you like solving mysteries and beating up the bad guys, I would recommend this game.

For those of you that havent heard about or played this game, you are seriously missing out, this is the most fun game I have ever played, its got old school controls but the sweeping storyline makes up for the bad camera control, and the amount of detail in each character and place, you can walk through hong kong. Just pick this game up and give it a shot, garunteed the first 5 mins will captivate you and rope you in. Hell, after the first time i beat it I started a new game right away. Its a martial arts RPG that just screams re-playability. You litteraly fall in love with the beautiful graphics and epic story of a young man that struggles with revenge for the death of his father. YOU DO NOT NEED TO PLAY THE FIRST ONE TO ENJOY SHENMUE 2.

BEST GAME EVER AND I WOULD NOT MIND HAVING SEXUAL RELATIONS WITH JOY

I really don't like most other RPG's requiring you to learn a new language, fight every other scene, etc. I love the games that give us a beautiful, well known city as the backdrop (Max Payne, Fear Effect 1 and 2, Spiderman, Shenmue 1 and 2, etc).with a great mix of gameplay, and exploration. This is the only kind of RPG I can play. etc. This was a great RPG game. MC White said: Check it out.

I do, though, enjoy this type of game though. (I hated all the Starwars movies). This is my favorite type of RPG style game. Its like playing Starwars, without any weapons. Awesome. I give this game two gamer thumbs up.

This game won't be to everyones taste however, it can take up alot of your time and moves at quite a slow pace. Of course you don't have to follow the story. Still if like me these things don't bother you that much and your after somthing with an epic feel then i highly recommend this game, but if shooting things and big bangs are your thing then i think you would be much better off sticking with the Grand Theft Auto games.

At first i was unsure about this, but after playing the first game on the Sega Dreamcast i was hooked. The game gives you the chance to explore the vast city and indulge in such past times as darts and even gives you the chance to play some of Sega's classic arcade titles. But if your willing to open your mind, you might find yourself hooked just like i was.

The game is simply huge, there is so much to do and see and the story is very engrossing. So anyone looking for fast paced action look elsewhere this game requires alot of patients. This being a convesion of the original Dreamcast game, the graphics do look slightly dated and the voice acting is terrible.
