Ship Simulator Reviews
It crashed to desktop, and by the time that happened I had pretty much lost my interest in it. The graphics are not top level, and the gameplay gets stale very quickly. Not a top quality program.
I like this one its like the real thing as I am a licensed captain lot of fun.
Nothing has come close to it. Unfortunately I also have a new computer too, because that game corrupted my PC. This game has realistic naval and vessel controls according to the proper vessel and the year of construction, but it tends to be slower and there aren't as many options as I had hoped. The only game that has met my match was a PC game I ordered through the internet last year called Virtual Sailor 7.0. The weather, vessel and other functions on that game were fantastic.
This game puts you at the helm of small work boats and large ships in a harbour setting and lets you test your pilot skills. I think anyone that understands the Rules of The Road, wind, tides and basic navigation will get much more enjoyment from this game. If you work in the maritime industry and enjoy computer games that does not involve killing people I think this is a very enjoyable game. A fast computer with good graphics card is a must. For all the engineers currently sailing who constantly complain that the deck dept is useless, this is the game for you.
When he saw that the Titanic was one of the ships included in the game, it has become his favorite. One of the better games that we've purchased for him. My almost 10-year-old grandson loves this game. Two thumbs up. And I haven't heard any complaints from him about problems with it hanging up the system.
