Singstar Pop gives you the chance to be a pop sensation! All the great game modes and play from other SIngstar songs are here, along with new modes and songs. Gain extra points as you battle against your crew to see who is the master of the mic, with the ultimate MC showdown! In Medley mode, short segments of five different songs are strung together -- would-be pop stars have to think fast and score high before the tune changes. In addition, SingStar Pop incorporates brand new voice filters that can be used in Playback Mode to distort and enhance players' vocal performance.

i got this game when i purchased my PS2. It was a bundle pack. the sole purpose for buying the system was for these games. There should be MORE songs on each game. Also, its a little too easy to cheat your way to a better score if you just HUM to it.
but overall its a really great game to play with family or friends or both. starting out for the first time with these was a bit confusing but once you try it a few times you get the hang of how it works and what works best for you. and the last thing is i think that you should be able to play with more than 2 players at once, and i realize you can sort of do that but to have more than 2 people play you must still go one or two at a time. sometimes you'll get a better score that way than by actually SINGING lol but if everyone playing plays by the rules and does some actual singing it is really fun.
its very easy to go through all the songs in a short span of time. There are only a few things that i think could be improved. i find its sooooo much more challenging trying to keep your pitch while others are singing and i think it would be more fun to have more people participating at once. id like to be able to have 4 people trying to sing at once.
It is sooooo much fun to do with friends and it has a pretty decent song list.
I give it two thumbs up. It's really a great game for you, your family, and your friends to play and enjoy. The song choices are fun songs and some may be a little difficult at first, but after a while they grow on you and become easier. This game is a party life saver, everyone gets up and gets in on the fun.
We all still loved it, but thought the song selection was lacking. Well, this one is not as good as the 90's. Still a GREAT game. I guess it was to expensive to pay royalties for more "Pop" songs.
While it is still well done, I believe that much of the entertainment factor is rocking along to your favorite songs. This edition of the game has all the same gameplay options, and is basically identical, save for the music selections. I purchased this game for my wife, as she loves SingStar '80s and Singstar '90s. In this version, there's much more contemporary stuff which we weren't as familiar with. As there were a handful of songs on this one we really liked, it wasn't as compelling as the other editions to us. But to those who "grew up" with more of the music in this set, it will be a great buy.
I have all of the sing star games and this one is definitely a family favorite.
