The Sirius SUP-V1 universal plug 'n' play vehicle kit comes with everything you need to play your Sportster 4, Starmate 4, or Stratus satellite radio receiver through your car's stereo speakers. The kit is designed around a handy docking cradle, which teams with the windshield suction cup mount to hold your receiver at an easy-to-access angle. Works great, I ordered and intalled several which allows you to move your plug and play unit to various vehicles or boat.
You won't be disappointed. It only took us about 40 minutes to prep and install. I ordered TWO more. I chose to NOT use the mounts. One for my RV and the other for the Mrs' car.
The car kit was a peice of cake to install. All wires hidden and it worked out great. It sits nicely on my console.
For the antenna , I mount the extra Sirius antenna on an small, empty, steel vegetable can. I ordered this kit so I could move my Sirius unit from one vehicle to another, when I needed to. That takes care of the power. It works just fine; so, you can get double duty out of a kit like this, and use your Sirius unit in another vehicle, or, in your home for the price of the small 12V adapter. I bought a 12-volt ac adapter at a local electronic supply house, and using alligator clips, just jump from the positive and negative leads on the adapter output line to the appropriate leads on the cigar lighter plug that is furnished with the kit. I also use the kit to play my Sirius in the house over an FM stereo. How.
