You need to take it complete out before changing battery or downloading your pictures. There is not opening area for the Battery compartment or for the USB connections.
I had to make a small hole for the wrist strap.The silicone skin turned to a yellowish color after two days of use in salty water.At the end decided to take it off and be more careful with the camera. It is a little uncomfortable to use the camera wile wearing the silicone skin.
I purchased this case to go on my 790. While it kept my 790 safe and scratch free, the case yellowed and became dingy even after rinsing with clean water. I don't know if I will continue to use it, as it makes my camera look old and disgusting. it seems that a non-opaque skin would provide the same protection, but not look ugly after use. I'm not sure why the only option is clear. We spent a week in Puerto Rico, where I had it in and out of the water.
Makes the overall camera a lot more robust - excellent. Olympus should provide this, really. Got this for my sister's camera.
my husband and I both have this product for our cameras. It definitely gave our cameras that added protection that we wanted - but the stained color has remained - even after many attempts to clean & wash. after about three hours in and out of the river, the silicone changed color to a nasty yellowish green. Used this recently on a float trip in Montana.
