Walking around Boston I have no problem hearing callers or being heard, even near traffic. Highly recommended. The sound is fantastic, with crisp highs and strong lows, and so is the microphone. I went through several different iPhone-compatible headsets (including the bundled Apple set), looking for a pair with great sound *and* a great mic, until I got these.
Hear everything high's, mid's and low's. Real nice headphones sick sound. hear the details you won't hear on a stock set of Apple headphones. Nice finish also and the foam inserts are too cool.
Which is too bad. The sound is great. It is actually a few inches shorter than the standard iPhone headphones which are barely long enough for me as-is. But I'm tallish ( 6'1" ) and the length of the cord is about 3" too short for my liking. Might not seem like a big deal, but I cannot walk around with my iPhone in my pocket without every other step feeling like it is tugging the headphones out of my ears.
Well, I've had these for about two weeks now and the iPhone playback and call control button has failed out. Now, when using the headphones it will randomly disconnect my call, randomly start and stop playback, etc. I hope they last longer than the first pair. I have submitted an RMA request and will be receiving new ones via mail.
They have an edgy look but are still conservative enough not to draw too much attention. It sounds a bit like you're in an empty room but it picks up voices like no other. The mic for works very well for calls. I'm not a huge audiophile but I think I will become one after this purchase. For being so small they have great bass. I just received these sweet headphones for the iPhone 3g and they're great. Enjoy.
