Smarty Pants: Trivia for Everyone Reviews
It was a hit. I bought this game for a Wii Party I hosted. The game is simple and easy to play, and the only complaint I have is that you could only play with a maximum of 4 players at one time that is, only 4 people can have their own Wii remotes to buzz in. It was ok as it made the game challenging but not frustrating. You can play in teams, but it's more fun if you can buzz in yourself.
I highly recommend this game. Adults and kids thought it was fun. We had a hilarious time. A few of the questions did get recycled, but during those instances it became a question of who can buzz in first.
We had so much fun that people at the party were planning to buy the game for their own Will collection. The game lets you input your age so you get age appropriate questions, but some of the questions were quite difficult.
I'd recommend it for people who enjoy trivia games. The only part that was annoying was the little "celebration dances" that characters would do occasionally, and it took a while to understand how to use the "cards" that you could earn and use. So far we've played with folks ranging from 24-55 years old.
I don't know how younger kids would fare, but it takes your ages and it's supposed to ask questions relative to each person's age group. I can attest that there were some questions that were "too young" for me. The questions are fairly tough and there's a variety of categories - more than in Trivial Pursuit, but like them.
We're not much for reading directions, but most of the game's rules are intuitive - there are several alternative ways to play, including a cooperative version. (But, as I said, we didn't read the directions). We're kind of competitive, so that one didn't interest us.
My family enjoys Trivial Pursuit and games like that.
Like Trivial Pursuit but a faster paced game. A great group game. Fun for all ages.
I wish we would have rented it first it is kinda fun but gets old fast. My mom purchased smarty pants for me 2 weeks ago. It is a great game to rent for a family get togeter but not such a good buy.
Overall a fun game with decent trivia questions. Lets you play with four Wii controllers simultaneously, allows you to use your own Mii for each contestant. Good for parties. Neat animations. Plays like a game show.
