It has a simple purpose and that is to charge your mini-dv batteries in a wall outlet. This product works as intended and does it flawlessly. This is a much easier way to charge camera batteries and provides the extra convenience and benefit of ebing able to charge up an additional battery while filming with your other battery (assuming you have two, of course).
Just took it to Europe; folded up it fit perfect in the outside pocket of my suitcase. I highly recommend it. I plugged my camera into it to charge before going to bed each night, and was ready to go the next morning. Wish I'd known about this product sooner.
Sony battery charger is a must-have for the Sony high-definition cam it is a great for charging so hurry up and buy this if you have a movie cam. I would give this charger a rating of A
It's handy and compact. If you travel alot, this product is great for charging the batteries.
