Let me tell you for the price point it is the best surround sound you can get. I have a Directv HR20 HD DVR, a sony blu ray player and the sony receiver that comes with this system all hooked through HDMI cables to the t.v. I was a little receptive about buying a surround sound with a passive subwoofer but man can the thing boom my fairly large living room. (Phillips 47" 1080p HDTV) to the receiver and I have crystal clear surround sound through all of the components. Contrary to what other reviewers have said you can have surround sound through your t.v. The DVD player upconverts to 1080p which is really nice. with my audio out from my t.v. Just picked this surround sound up on Saturday.
The system had a great sound but the remote control would not work with my TV. So I sent it back with no problems. TIM

A very nice System for a very nice price. I am extremely pleased with it.
I tried to buy one of these at Best Buy but they were priced at full retail price (299.99) but I got it much cheaper at Amazon. You also get very good reliability since this is a Sony of course, and the features are also great. I think that this is a very good home theater system at a great price. I would definitely recommend this product.
