I LOVE this camera. The Carl Zeiss lens is awesome. Most of the time I don't have a clue what I'm doing with this camera but it doesn't seem to care. While I have take some garbage photos, I've taken far more absolutely awesome, share with every one I know photos. Once in a lifetime wildlife photos and awesome stills of my gelding horse galloping right at me.
The video, not so in love with, but I didn't buy it for the video. The few videos I took were free hand and had a lot of shake, especially when I zoomed. May have worked better if I hadn't used the zoom while filming. As I say though, I didn't buy it for the video.
It's not light and small but the photo quality is well worth the extra bulk. I LOVE this camera!
This is the best Camera, very easy to use,great pictures... wish i would have bought it before i wasted money on others!!!
ONE OF THE BEST CAMERAS I EVER OWNED. CAME IN EXCELLENT PACKAGING AND I HAVE NO COMPLAINTS. I REALLY LIKE THE PRICE AND JUST GLAD THAT IT WAS ON AMAZON. IT ALSO TOOK EXCELLENT PICTURES IN THE RAIN. BUT BE CAREFUL. HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT TO ALL CAMERA LOVERS.
I've had my camera for well over a year and it's great. It's simple to use and if you want to kick it up a knotch, there are tons of features (for which I have no idea the extent of this since I use the simple point and shot setting, occasionally turning my flash off). I LOVE that it has replaced my video camera. I can take as much video as I have memory for.
The only drawback for me is that it's bulky. I miss being able to carry my camera in my pocket. This one requires it's own bag, which is the same size as my purse.
Over all I really like it though! :)
I've had this camera a few years now and the quality is still outstanding! I love the continuous shoot mode as I can capture my kids in unguarded moments and its priceless. I am good at close-ups and I really like the zoom on this. I love how I can either choose auto or do the settings myself.
The video quality is good. Its a better camera than a video camera. I like taking it with me everywhere and can get video if I want.
Its easy to upload onto the computer and the card it comes with holds a lot. I got a second battery for it, to swap out when the one dies and that helps. The battery life lasts quite a long time.
Its a great camera, but not compact. When we were researching this, we were looking for an easy-to-use camera that had all the features of a professional camera in a compact easily portable camera. This one fit all our criteria. I can't say enough great things about this camera. Sony did an excellent job on this one.
