Other players did not do well with the home burned CD's, this one excels. I love this machine. I am very active when I use this and it never skips. I love that it recalls the track you stopped at, not only when you temporarily stop play but also when you change the batteries. Was looking for a fair priced player to listen to my audiobooks and CD's that were burned at home.
Plays well, sound is good. Needs a belt cary case. Quality good, round shape posses a handeling dificulty, control markings on the edge hard to read, some hard to understand if you are not sign litturate. and possibly an auto adaptor to fit in the casette tape player. It's fairly good about playing scratched CDs and has not jumped while I have been working out in the yard or walking with it. I listen to a lot of Books on Tape and this player picks up exactly where you leave off even if you stop it to do something else for awhile. If you are looking for a good CD portable player without the radio, this is it. This is one of the best CD players I've used. The ear phones are OK but get bit irritating after wearing them for a time. It is pretty light on battery use also.
You have to remove the CD, as the battery case is inside and under the CD. Then it is a bit hard to open the battery case and insert the batteries. I would give it 5 stars except it is more difficult than most to change batteries. This is a great sounding CD Walkman. Otherwise, I really enjoy this player.
When he had it working he LOVED it and couldn't believe it's great sound. got it for my Dad to walk with.He found it had too many buttons. He's 83 and can't see well. It kept gettign stuck on pause which frustrated him.
