Sony ICF-C318 Automatic Time Set Clock Radio with Dual Alarm (Black)
Stylish Design takes up a minimum of space on the nightstand, desk or dresser. Visible 0.9" Green LED allows the large size numerals to be seen easily, even at night.
Always know what time it is. The Sony ICF-C318 Automatic Time Set Clock Radio with Dual Alarm has a 0.9" green LED display that is easily viewable from across the room, but takes up very little space on your nightstand. It hosts a number of features including automatic time set, automatic Daylight Savings Time adjustment, dual alarm, built-in calendar, AM/FM tuner and full power memory back up. The correct EST (Eastern Standard Time) has been preset at the factory, so just plug the clock in and adjust the time zone as necessary. Dual alarms with individual alarm indicators let you set two separate wake-up times with differing wake-up settings. In the case of a power interruption, the built-in Lithium battery maintains the correct time so when the power returns you don't have to re-set the clock.

Sony ICF-C318 Automatic Time Set Clock Radio with Dual Alarm (Black) Reviews
I ordered this alarm clock to replace the similar Alarm/ Radio/CD clock I'd had for years. It was a Sony "Dream Machine". It finally died, would not play CD's, which I prefer to wake up to.
I should have spent a bit more and gotten another one that played CD's, but for some reason I didn't. That is not why I'm downgrading the clock.
Although it too is a Sony "Dream Machine" I find it hard to set, hard to turn off the radio in the morning when it goes off (normally the room is still dark while I'm trying to find the right button, and end up changing the time setting).
All the buttons are black-on-black and small and hard to read.
The clock setting, the numerals, are clear and large enough, and not overly bright. Thats one of the few good things I can say about it. I would not buy it again, in fact, although I've had it only a few months, I may buy another one, more like my original one, and pass this on to someone who needs a regular alarm clock.
I like this alarm... it has an emergency backup battery built in (which worked well when my power went out). It has two programable alarms for people who need to wake up times. It has a nice buzzer that can get loud for heavy sleepers but isn't grating.
It also has an automatic time set which is the one problem I have with this alarm... the time that it automatically sets is about eight minutes off. Also there is no way to overide the auto-time (none that I can find at least). Eight minutes isn't the end of the world, but it is a problem for a product that is essentially a time keeper. I liked it enough to keep it and simply set my alarm for 7:08... but that is a little annoying.
"Why don't you just wake up eight minutes early?" you ask? Because I don't want to... get off my back... what are you my mother?
Inexpensive with good sound from the radio. Big LED display. Easy to use. I'm Happy
Okay for the price. Not a good sound but it is functional. Great service and delivery
Purchased an older model 15 years ago. Just needed a new clock for another room. Easy to use, great for a college room. Large numbers, just wish you could dim the amount of light. Radio is okay, no Bose but will do.
