The Sony ICF-C318 Automatic Time Set Clock Radio with Dual Alarm has a 0.9" green LED display that is easily viewable from across the room, but takes up very little space on your nightstand. It hosts a number of features including automatic time set, automatic Daylight Savings Time adjustment, dual alarm, built-in calendar, AM/FM tuner and full power memory back up. The correct EST (Eastern Standard Time) has been preset at the factory, so just plug the clock in and adjust the time zone as necessary. Dual alarms with individual alarm indicators let you set two separate wake-up times with differing wake-up settings. In the case of a power interruption, the built-in Lithium battery maintains the correct time so when the power returns you don't have to re-set the clock.

wife and i use it to wake up at different times - beats old clock which had me resetting alarm for her once i got up - needless to say, forgetting once was enough to drive me to search out a dual alarm clock, and Sony makes it easy with quality and easy to program features. if it's possible to love an alarm clock, this is the one to love.
Easy Easy to use. It woke me up on time the next morning so I am happy. I took it out of the box and set it up without even reading the directions.
Bought this product in late July, 2008, and now in late June, 2009, the. LED display no longer works with the unit plugged into an outlet.
I can adjust the time and try and remember to adjust it again at the end of the week or else just try and remember to adjust it in my head. Not a big deal to suffer once in a long while. This little clock has a dual alarm feature, which is easy to set and convenient to use. The radio is as good as any radio clock I've ever owned. The alarm has a buzzer or radio option. The only problem I have with that feature right now is when they moved the day Daylight Savings Time starts and ends. All of it is very intuitive.
My clock is set with the old standard start and end dates and this clock doesn't know that, so I have to spend an entire week with the clock time set an hour off. The snooze button can be pushed multiple times to increase snooze time. The brightness level can be adjusted. My favorite part, and the reason I bought it, is that it resets itself whenever the power goes out; and I can just plug and go, no need to set it. For the price and all its nifty features, it is worth it.
I chose soft, and it's a gentle chirping noise, that wakes me up but doesn't make me think the house is on fire. I've never tried it - not interested. And the price point is great. I should have bought this years ago. The radio.
I have 2 different wake-up times during the week, and have always altered my wake time every evening. My only "complaint" would be that the illumination (even at the higher setting) is hard for me to see during the day when I want tao glance at the clock (it's just fine when I'm in bed looking at it). And the best part is the alarm. You can set it to loud or soft. When I choose, it briefly shows me the time it will wake me up - no chance of mistakes.
This clock radio allows me to set the 2 wake up times, and choose each night which I will use.
