Sony ICF-CDK70 Under Cabinet Kitchen Clock Radio with CD-Changer Reviews

and all features are great. The sound. Sony ICF-CDK70 Under Cabinet Kitchen Clock Radio with CD-Changer. I am very pleased with the performance of this radio/CD player.

I read that it should not be near appliances, but we mounted it above the microwave next to the double oven and the reception is great. It was easy to install with 2 people. The only drawback that we have found is that we are unable to connect it to external speakers and there is no back up battery. Right price and right sound. I like the fact it can be connected to an external play source, either an MP3 or an IPOD. Works for us. I read the reviews after buying the radio and before installation.

For under $100 you can't go wrong. After all, it is a Sony, and it can play 3 CD's. The FM reception is really great, and I esp like that the antenna is built into the power cord. Overall I would recommend this to a friend.

It is also a very good looking unit. But, for those who want to, there is the option of hooking an MP3 player up to this unit and even a slot on the side to place it. If unplugged, you do lose your radio presets which is not a great inconvenience unless you have a power outage; battery backup would be nice, which I don't think it has.

Our kitchen is somewhat removed from the main living area, and I wanted to be able to play music or listen to the news there.nice that it has a 3 CD changer. The stereo sound is considerably good for a radio this size; speakers are aimed toward the front and the sides for better quality. I am not technologically inclined so I don't really care about the lack of MP3-CD capability.

Not sure how good the AM reception is yet, though that doesn't mean a whole lot to me anyway. The fact that the antennas are built in is especially helpful, because once you mount this under your cabinets, you obviously can't move it around to get better reception.

I am very pleased with the item. I was not happy blasting my stereo in the living room to hear music outside, so I purchased this undercounter Sony radio/cd player combo, the sound is terrific for its size. This item was purchased for my kitchen that adjoins my deck.

What I like best:. 6) Remote control. 3) Programming the presets can be a pain.

1) Ease of use. 4) Takes 3 CDs. Areas of improvement:. 4) Back light stays on even after you turn off unit.

2) Would have been nice to come in white to match my cabinets. 5) Styling. As far as I know, this is one of the highest quality, most feature packed, reasonably priced under cabinet kitchen radios out there. We should be able to control whether back light turn offs when unit is powered down.

I bought this unit to replace a Magnavox under cabinet kitchen radio that failed. This one is much better. 1) Takes a little long for CDs to start playing.

3) Line in for my MP3 player. I highly recommend it. 2) Sound.
