Found it on Amazon and am quite happy with product. Searched high and low for an "old fashioned" radio, not a boom box type. Sony ICF38 Portable AM/FM Radio. Very happy with quality of this product.
He was very surprised and pleased with the actual cost. When my husband saw the radio, he asked how much it was and guessed it was at least $50. This Sony AM/FM met all the requirements: reasonable price, great sound, battery or plug-in operation. With the hurricane season approaching, we needed to replace our old portable radio. A really excellent value, and a Sony.
It's small & compact no fancy settings. This is a great radio. I bought it to have at the office. Very good sound.
The controls are easy for me to use. This radio brings in distant stations, sounds good, and takes up little space. These were the qualities I was looking for so I am pleased I made the choice to buy Sony ICF38.
Great value for the price. Just what I was looking fora quality desktop radio with nothing fancy just a radio. The sound quality is very good and the reception is excellent with a telescoping adjustable attenna.
