That's good enough for me. With the default battery came with the pc, it will run out of power around an hour, with this large battery, it will at least double the time when I use outside, I don't need to worry about the power anymore. This is a must have if you really want to take advantage of the mobility of the sony upc. After fully charged, the battery icon shows it can run 4+ hrs (in maximum battery mode), in actually use, I think it's no problem for two hours, at least for now.
Extends the runtime to almost 4 hours. Just wish it was cheaper It works super.
This was also my back up battery, I've only used this twice. Sony told me these are meant to be replaced every year. Made in Japan but.dead. Somehow my double A's last longer than this. I lost my 6 hrs worth of work on my business trip due to this battery which I purchased directly from Sony. Laptop does not even recognize it's plugged in.
I really prefer my UX with the standard battery because of comfort, weight and lool, the problem is that the standard doesn't last any long. This battery it's by far the most expensive battery i've ever bought in all my life, make you use your palm sized personal computer for at least 3 hours which is good. Some day in the near future, maybe we'll see standard sized batt which lasts for about 6 hours and then i'll really be glad to shell +/- $300 for it but for now, it is a necessary evil. PP It's on the weighty side which is not so good and adds too much to the size of the computer. It is very clear that if what you need is more battery life, you'll be pleased by the performance of this battery that even when not as good as a MacBook battery performance, it's certainly good compared to the standard batt but at a cost. (money, weight and size). If you have the Sony leather case for the Vaio UX series, the computer won't fit in the case with this battery on.
I do believe it is worth the money down to the last penny. I have been able to work on my new vaio up to three hours. I am very pleased i bought this battery, it gives me plenty of time to do what i need to do.
