Bought this so I could carry it around the house with me. The offshore service representative gave awful service. I returned it as a defective item, and although I bought it direct from SonyStyle, they had great bureaucratic problems having the unit picked up and a replacement sent to me - so I had no choice but to return it and shop for another brand, loyal Sony customer that I had been. However, the CD player's anti-motion mechanism shut it off extremely easily, although sound quality was excellent when it was playing.
Starting getting the no disc message. We loved this boombox but after a few trips with it the cd player stopped working. That was very disappointing.
The FM receiver appears to be good.
Other than that little function, the rest of the system seems to work great and will be a nice little system.
If this came with a remote control, that would make it so much easier.
You can't easily get from the first channel setting to the last without going through all of them.
I was able to pick up alot of stations in my basement, which is not always possible.
The only items that I don't 100% like on the system is the changing of channels on the radio.
The sound on this system is good.
It should be able to crank out the tunes.
It is a little toggle switch and you have to go through all of the stations to get from one to the next.
Nice ergo design. Very good sound, a little larger than I thought, has large wall wart, but stays in the outlet.
GOOD SOUND AND EASY TO OPERATE. I LIKE THE SHAPE, VERY CONVIENIENT. VERY HAPPY. LIGHT ENOUGH FOR HER TO CARRY YET STABLE. HOPE THIS HELPS. BOUGHT FOR MY DAUGHTER TO DRAG AROUND BECAUSE SHE WANTS TO DANCE EVERYWHERE.
