It sounds just like staying in a beach house with the windows open. However, it does not play all the way through; only about 20 minutes. Puts the baby right to sleep (Daddy too). Also sometimes the track causes the IPOD to freeze.
Works like a charm to at least create a night time routine. We use this every night and every time I put him back to sleep at night after a feeding.
I also use it in the car when she is fussy. I play the rain on repeat every night for my 4 mth old and it helps keep her asleep.
The quality of the sounds is very good and has a good variety. In fact she gets so interested in some of the "noises" that she keeps her eyes wide open. My baby definitely liked this CD and it helps her to relax but it doesn't help to sleep as I expected.
Even if he doesn't fall asleep right away, it gets him moving in the right direction. Well worth it. We put my 3-month old to bed every night with this CD. This CD is awesome.
