If you're looking for a great nature sounds machine, I definately recommend this product. The machine I had, purchased at a Bed, Bath and Beyond-type store, had developed an annoying static, so I wanted to find a machine that had both better sound quality and durability. The only negative to this order is that, since the item isn't shipped directly from Amazon, it took much longer to receive the delivery than if Amazon had shipped it. I also love that I will be able to buy additional sound cards for this unit.
I just received the delivery, so I'm not sure how durable the machine will prove to be, but, the sound quality is amazing. After a weird electrical humming noise started happening SOMEwhere around where I live, being a light sleeper, the only solution to my being to continue to get a good night's sleep was to play a nature sounds machine during the night. It's worth every penny.
Very cool idea. Still, it's a first rate product and was well worth the wait.
There is a nightly reset where the unit slowly quiets & then returns to level you set it at.
The white noise keeps my baby asleep, so its critical.
It has also stopped entirely twice during this process.
Spend your money elsewhere if you need a unit that works.
I bought this unit for my baby's nursery.
It had received good reviews elsewhere & I figured a cheaper unit would have problems.
I turn it off & on several times a day for nap & leave it on all nite long.
My unit does this randomly, sometimes every 2 hrs.
I am not using the additional card feature so maybe that would help but I don't have time to play games with my white noise machine.
This machine has replaced our humidifier as a noise maker. The only complaint that I have with it is, after a few days of having the machine, I noticed an annoying repeat in the rain track. It repeats every 10 seconds, and I wasn't able to get to sleep because of it. However, I ordered the Sound Oasis Wilderness Journey Sound Card, which has a thunderstorm track, which appears to repeat every 30 seconds instead, and doesn't have an annoying pattern to get on your nerves.
