You get a nice firm grip, the durability of the pebbled finish seems to be pretty good, and you get a nice bounce on various types of hardcourts. The grip may not be as good as Spalding's NBA `Legacy' ball, but it is very close. It's reasonably priced, so if you need an outdoor ball, you really can't go wrong with this one. Spalding's `Street' basketball ranks pretty high in those key departments. For an outdoor basketball, grip, durability and balance, are probably the most important considerations. Like many outdoor type balls, it may feel a little heavy on an indoor court.
I have had this basketball for a while and no problem at all. Built to be played street ball. My last basketball I bought from a retail store and paid more for it and lasted me only like two months outdoors.
I wasn't sure whether to go with a rubber or leather ball. Have only used it a few times since purchasing, but seems like a durable ball. It was either go with rubber for durability or leather for authentic feel. I believe I made the right choice. But I decided to go with rubber for its ability to withstand dribbling on concrete. Great ball for the money.
It is a great basketball. Whenever we go to the basketball court, it's the basketball they all decide to use [usually all the guys bring their own basketballs]. I bought this for my boyfriend for his birthday, and he absolutley loves it.
Super grip. I bought this basketball for my boys. We have a concrete ball court and this ball so far works great for outdoors. Hopefully it will stand up and last longer than the other ones we have.
