Case is good, keeps hold of Ipod, it works, but there are better cases for a little more money.
Well, if its purpose is to protect my iPod, it certainly does that! This little case has a pretty thick rubberized skin that seems like it could take a drop from quite a height, and has a scratch-resistant screen cover too. I also really like that you can actually still see the iPod's body through the clear skin. While the clear hard-plastic covers allow this too, I like the rubberized feel as it makes it easier to hold and keeps it from slipping off of my lap where my iPod tends to sit while I'm driving and playing it through my stereo. The only flaw for me is that I have trouble hitting the play/pause/power button on the wheel of the iPod with my big fat thumb because the case is pretty thick and sort of "blocks" my thumb. I guess I can handle having to point my thumb down and use the tip of it for all the benefits of this case!
Much clearer description needed; i.e. that there's A) a device to attach the case to a belt and that the belt must be threaded thru (not clipped to) the case, B) the screen cover is a separate piece. Does offer pretty good ipod protection, tho the one I used to use had a flap that covered the charger/USB port. But since my ipod Nano 3rd Gen is evidently dinosaurian, I guess I should be happy I can find anything at all.
This Speck ToughSkin case is great protection for your iPod. Compared to other brands...this is the best!
The good:
Tough, easy to grip rubber cover and fits well in your hand.
Screen protector is thick, protective and clear plastic.
Still fits in docking station on radio for easy recharging / playing.
Looks nice, can still see color thru skin (clear).
Switch on bottom, headphone jack accessibility is good.
The bad:
Lose the clip and it's attachment-makes ipod nano >1" thick. I just don't like it. Too BIG.
Skin around click/scroll wheel is full thickness almost right up to the edge, prohibiting "easy" use of wheel.
I'd give it a 5 of 5 stars if manufacturer had done a better job tapering the thickness of the case down as it approached the wheel. As it is now the case works better in smaller hands than larger hands.
