I'm not sure the screen could be seen at his point without the screen protector.
The only thing that might annoy someone is that the toughskin makes whatever Ipod you have much bigger all around.
If you a person that care about what your Ipod looks like,don't get this case, but if your are a person who want to protect there investment, get this very tough case.
On the subway, while shopping, in the car, everywhere.
I have one for my Nano and Ipod Classic.
It gets put in bags, falls under the seat of the car and doesn't skip a beat.
This case, though not the best looking, does its job.
I take my Ipod everywhere.
This is a great product and i highly suggest you get it for your device also. If you are looking to comprimise on some of the fashion to save from scratches, then this is the one for you. This is a great product that has protected my IPod from myself. The over all design is a little bulky but there are no scratches to my IPod. It even comes with a screen protector.
Fits well, looks cool and now I don't have to worry so much about protecting my ipod from injury :)
A good alternative would be Invisible Shield, though this would admittedly give no protection against drops and bumps. If shock absorption is the main concern this product has the right idea. It is still usable enough to know where I am navigating on the menu. The rubberized case is of course bullet proof. My screen was looking a bit gummed up, but I assumed it was the Speck screen insert taking the brunt and protecting the iPod screen. I bought the older version of this product for my 30GB iPod 2 years ago.
I am finding out the downside is that somehow this case does not protect from scratches to the body. Upon removing the iPod, I was surprised to see that it was actually my screen underneath that was scratched up. It will, in my experience, leave the screen barely usable. My only guess is that some dirt can get in between the screen and the shield as there is a slight gap, and this has caused the abrasion on the screen. For the video function, however, the screen is too damaged to really see anything. Have dropped the iPod from great height with no fear of any damage whatsoever.
The cover had a nice look and a durable feel. I like the product. Based on some things I have read, I returned it and am trying an armband. However, it is not for use while jogging. I got it to try and prevent the skipping I was getting while jogging, but it didn't work.
