SteelSeries Ikari Laser Mouse (Black)
The SteelSeries Ikari Laser mouse features programmable macros for RTS and MMO gamers and a high precision sensor suitable for FPS gamers. Furthermore the Ikari Laser is completely driverless which enables the mouse to remember settings and macros when plugged into tournament computers - without installing any drivers or software. The advanced SteelSeries XY2 laser engine supports resolution settings with increments of only 1 CPI, which for the first time ever gives the user the ability to fine tune the mouse exactly to his personal reaction pattern. Set your windows and in-game sensitivity to default and set the CPI on your hardware instead of forcing software calculations. With the built in LED display in the bottom of the Ikari Laser you are able to adjust your CPI anytime, anywhere - you are completely independent of software or drivers. The gaming grade engine used in the SteelSeries Ikari Laser utilizes a new way of analyzing tracking, reaching 40.000 SPS (or around 5 times the speed of conventional laser technology).

SteelSeries Ikari Laser Mouse (Black) Reviews
It's nice enough that I'm considering buying one to use at work too. Barely any effort for quick precise movements. This mouse doesn't have all the fancy features of some of the competitors. I can't recommend it more. I paired it with a Razer eXactMat and eXactRest Bundle - Mouse Pad and Wrist Rest and it's amazingly smooth.
I play a fair amount of WoW, and this mouse works great for it. It's simple, with just what you need. My Logitech MX1000 Laser Mouse quit charging, so I had to find a replacement. Plus the precision is adjustable without software.
It's been over well over a week. After providing the requested information, I have yet to hear back. After submitting a request, I heard back once requesting more information. Unfortunately, it bounced back. I eventually had to give up and connect my (far less expensive) previous mouse, which has never given me any issues. Mechanically, the button appears to be fine. This is a fairly expensive mouse. I'd expect it to be of decent quality and have some sort of support system in place.
To make matters worse, after a bit of digging I found a support email address. It was a decent mouse while it worked, but after a few days the right mouse button mysteriously thought that it was constantly being pressed. Very disappointing. After digging a bit, I found their ticketing system (which, incidentally, feels like it's from the early 90s). It canbe pressed as normal, but even when my hand is completely off the mouse, it was sending a constant stream of right button clicks to my computer. Even worse, there is virtually no support available from Steel Series. This mouse lasted for less than a week of very light use. This makes the mouse completely unusable.
now my gaming skill increased so much better. when you et used you will be so much better. Only think you need to to reduce your sensitivity if you are playing fps games. i had mx510 before this item.
As a professional ergonomist (but not a gamer), I judge the overall ergonomics benefits of this mouse far far outweigh the negative (especially for gaming) of it being somewhat difficult to lift up for repositioning. The thumb support and 4th finger and pinky support along with it's general contours, sensitivity control and well positioned Back button, put this mouse ahead of all or almost all other mice on the market. It has become my mouse of choice, and I have tried many many mice. I would strongly recommend this mouse to most right handed computer users. I suggest that the mouse be marketed to the broader market (not just gaming market) as an excellent "Ergonomic Mouse," which it is.
that's how I found-out about them. Unlike other gaming mice i've owned, the Ikari seems to add all the best features and leaves-out all the annoying ones others like to bundle-in. Nice support of the gaming community. The grip is made of a great material, and ergonomic layout is perfect. Seems like every LAN and event I go to, SteelSeries is there or donates prizes. I'm not sure who develops their drivers and technologies, but I feel like I have more accuracy and the mouse aims exactly where I want it be, and not where the computer thinks I'm aiming at. Seems like others never give back, then try to copy SteelSeries' innovations (but fail). I finally have the right balance of physical and software controls I've been wanting.
