Stubbs The Zombie in Rebel Without a Pulse
Stubbs The Zombie lets you become a man whose luck was so bad, dying was the best thing that ever happened to him. In 1933, Edward Stubblefield was a traveling salesman, trying to survive the Great Depression, when he was murdered & buried in a field in Pennsylvania. Fast forward to 1959, when billionaire playboy Andrew Monday builds his own ultramodern city - Punchbowl, where you can "drink your fill of the future". Unfortunately, he built it on the grave of "Stubbs", bringing him back as a angry zombie. Stubbs was a loser all his life, and being a zombie gives him power he never had before. He decides to keep eating brains until the city is his -- unless Andrew Monday can stop him.

Stubbs The Zombie in Rebel Without a Pulse Reviews
Heh, what can I say. Bottom line, If you own a Xbox, like zombies, and want to own a game that definitely isn't commonly seen on shelves, this one is for you. Stubbs the Zombie is a must have for any fan of the genre. What more could you want. Run around, eat brains, eat brains, eat more brains. Obviously, if you're looking at this game seriously, you're not looking for a serious game, so don't expect too much from it.
This game is fun, its about damn time that you can play as the enemy. I liked the style and the comedy was a blast. I think anyone would have a fun time with this game.
Think of it as Grand Theft Auto, but as zombies - - it's a amusing game but not anything spectacular.
The Cons. The Pros. Anyone looking for cool little extras won't find them here. Doesn't take advantage of the various gameplay mechanics (which are awesome), and I could say that it's too short, however the gameplay gets so repetitive, you wouldn't want it any longer. Just a straight-up fun game for a few hours, and that's it. A lot of fun, a lot of humor, and short enough where you can enjoy casual gaming.
The graphics are good although there are some slight pixel problems here and there. Controls are easy to learn and the game uses the halo engine, which essentially eliminates the typical camera problems. While the game isn't bad, it is monotonous. The slow pace, even when Stubbs is supposedly running is also quite irritating.
The music can become a bit repetitive but I tend to tune it out anyway. It fails to ever get you really involved and it is basically the same thing over and over. Basically, you control Stubbs, who of course as the name suggests, is a zombie. The game reminds me of 'Destroy all Humans' for a number of reasons: the futuristic yet retro setting and general look of the game, playing the bad guy and purposely killing any human that crosses your path and one other reason: it gets really old fast. Stubbs is a decent game but definitely has a few problems. Voice acting, is also decent although hearing "brains, brains" over and over does get a bit tiresome.
I mean, I understand he is supposed to be a shuffling zombie but it takes forever to get anywhere and really slows the game down. Again, not a bad game especially if you need some mindless entertainment for about an hour or two. Basically a platform game, you do get expansive areas to search but there is nothing to find.
Unfortunately, you have limited use of these items so it's back to shuffling along, swiping at the bad guys while they use guns to blow holes in your already mangled body. After that, the monotony will probably turn you into a zombie. There is a puzzle element in the game, in that you need to know when to pull your own head off and use it as a bowling ball to get through tough areas, or rip your hand off so it can skitter across the room and open a door or possess someone, etc.
When you are able to use a vehicle it's a huge relief (unless it's a tractor which is even slower than Stubbs) because you can finally MOVE. I don't expect him to have a jet pack but come on.
Pick it up as a rental first as it has a hefty price tag unless you find it on clearance.
