The price of this item is very reasonable, and its performance has been reliable. The scale is easy to read, and the scale is marked and labeled with useful information. It is good to know that the refrigerator is set to cool below 40 degrees(F) for safe food storage, and if the freezer is set too low that it is approaching deep freeze when it might not be necessary to do so. I bought two of these, one for the refrigerator and the other for the freezer.
No more sleepless nights wondering if I am going to die a horribly bloated death due to bacteria. I was pleased to find that my fridge was in the ideal range after installing this.
Without it, I was guessing and kept monkeying around with the temperature button. We have a second refrigerator in the garage and this helped me set the right temperature, once and for all. Works great. Now, I have it set right and nothing is getting too chilly. This is worth so much more than the price I paid for it.

If set too high the contents of the fridge may freeze, too low and bacteria may be a problem. For $6 I now have piece of mind. I am very pleased with this thermometer. The temperature dials on most refrigerators are less than precise.
