Neiko Super-Bright 9 LED Heavy-Duty Compact Aluminum Flashlight - Gunmetal Reviews
This is a great little flashlight. It's light weight and quite bright. I haven't had any problems with it but it could be a little better. Rather than a cloth lanyard, I'd prefer a small metal ring, so I can put the light on my key ring. Of course, if you prefer a lanyard, you'd probably consider this to be a plus, but there were are.
As I said in my other review of the same light just different color. I didn't think this light would be that great when I ordered it. I just got one to give my kid for when we go camping and stuff. I got it and put the batteries in and turned it on. Man this thing is bright, I am pretty happy I got it and in the dark this thing will cut through the dark pretty good I think. I am going to order more just in case I need them.
Do yourself a favor and just buy the dang thing. I went on a 2 month backpacking trip and, believe you me, I used this flashlight many a times while running through the woods/prairie/rocks to do my business. Definitely not the most powerful light out there, but I wasn't really looking for a floodlight. I wanted a dependable, durable, easy-to-carry, small flashlight with a bright-enough light and this did the job. I know other customers had problems with the build, but my flashlight never failed on me and I didn't even have to use the back-up batteries I took with me. Amazing? - nope, it is a flashlight after all. Good enough? - yup.
Nice light; when it actually goes on. you need to keep shaking or tapping it to keep it on. Shoddy quality.
This little pocket light was a gift and a very welcome one. Within a day of getting this light from a friend, we were rescuing some folks, carpet workers who were stranded on a 20 degree, windy night by the side of the road with a dead van. Brrr! The bright light of the LED is sharp, focused and a brilliant blue-white that is very helpful on dark and stormy nights.
The van did get started but..this light gave up the ghost. I think the defect lies in the battery cassette--the insert that holds 4 AAA batteries and makes the contact between the batteries and the led portion to complete the circuit. By fidgeting with the light, I got it working again, but then it gave up and since it's unreliable, it's hardly the thing for whipping out of your pocket to assist stranded motorists or even find your keys in your handbag.
Plus one star for it being a great source of light. Minus 4 stars for quitting working.
