bought like 3 cables of these one, none work, they where all messed up, keep out, dont buy it, none work and im not kidding.
This cable is not shielded in any way. The picture from my camera is washed out and getting interference from everything using this cable. Even the grounds for the audio, video, and power are all combined on one wire. You can't tell that unless you cut the cable (as I did to shorten it to 90'), and by then it's too late to return it. The package clearly says on the front "Shielded for less interference", but this is a complete lie. All it has is 4 individual wires wrapped in one sleeve, no shielding layer at all.
BUT IN MY CASE THEY DIDNT OFFER ME THIS OPTION. I HAVENT RECEIVED ONE YET. THE WAREHOUSESELLER TOLD ME IF MY TIME WAS SO PRECIOUS I COULD DO WHAT EVER I WANTED TO DO WITH IT. WHEN ORDERING THEY SHOULD STATE THAT YOU CANT RETURN WITHOUT A RETURN NUMBER AND YOU CANT GET THAT WITHOUT EMAILING THEM. I MIGHT MAKE A TIRE SWING OR SOMETHING OUT OF IT. THEN PRINT A RETURN LABLE AND MAIL IT BACK.
I DON'T REALLY KNOW WHAT I GOT. I COULD THINK OF A FEW THINGS. THEN WAIT ON A RESPONCE, JUST HAVE A LOT OF TIME TO WAIT. I DON'T THINK THEY SHOULD BE SO SMART ABOUT IT. THEY SAID THEY WOULD SEND ME A REPLACEMENT CABLE IN THE MAIL.
OR YOU WILL BE HANGING AROUND WAITING ON YOUR CABLE LIKE ME. I WISH I HAD THAT SWING ABOUT NOW. HI, EVERYONE I ORDERED A SWANN AV CABLE AND RECEIVED ANOTHER POWER CORD. DO YOUR HOMEWORK BEFORE YOU JUMP IN AND ORDER LIKE I DID. BRENDA HORTON HANGING BY THE CABLE.

The package came with the cable and 2 RCA gender changes (female on both ends; connects two standard male plugs to extend). It has an extra plug (for audio) which is not needed with that system and required a RCA -> BNC adapter to go to the DVR (or re-use the original cable = 180 ft total) but it worked. I couldn't get a straight answer from Swann but I ordered this anyway and it did work with my DVR4-Alert system (from Costco).
Only problem was, it was not the product I was looking for. This is not the sellers fault but mine for not researching properly. Both the quality and prompt timing of delivery were very good. I would recomend using Amazon especially for their promt delivery.
