It features a 2-line digital comb filter, which electronically separates the color from the black and white and compares adjacent scan lines to determine which pair of lines is the most similar. Using this correlation, the advanced digital comb filter can minimize dot crawl and cross-color interference. The VCR's clock time conveniently sets itself when the unit is used within range of a PBS broadcast station. Other VCR features include automatic rewind at the end of a tape, sleep and wake-up timers. The VCR features automatic head cleaning and a 1-year, 8-event recording timer. In addition to programmable timer recording and daily and weekly timed recording, one-touch timed recording of anywhere from 30 to 480 minutes. This unit also offers Closed Captioning text, V-Chip-based parental controls, in addition to other convenient features such as last-channel recall, resume power-on after a brief power interruption, and auto shutoff. The single-disc DVD player is also compatible with audio (both CD and MP3 format) burned to CD-R/RW discs. You can also scan through movies at 100x normal speed, store up to 10 bookmarks per disc for easy access at a later point, and view DVDs in slow motion, in both forward and reverse. It has built-in stereo speakers and a coaxial digital audio output, enabling you to produce 5.1-channel surround sound via a stereo receiver. I don't know what the deal is, but this thing has been slowly dying for us. Now the Record Light on the front will not stop blinking and no matter what I do (including unplugging it) it blinks, no commands work, and weird numbers are displayed across the screen. First the power off button stopped working. Just poorly made I guess.
Each one costs the same price as these three together here, and they work great. Three in one: TV, DVD, and VHS.
I hope this review saves you some hassle. Once bitten, twice shy.Twice bitten, a lot more smarter. I do not recommend this TV. I don't think we will be purchasing Sylvania products for a while. We purchased this TV at Best Buy.within two weeks the VCR player quit working.we took it back & got another on exchange.within a week the VCR player quit working on the exchanged TV.we are taking it back this weekend and requesting another brand of TV.
