I used to re-enact and this game puts me right back in the thick of things. I played the division tutorial over and over again. I connected my 42 inch TV and loaded this game up and all I remember saying was WOW. I wish it had online play and a full campaign mode. The graphics aren't state of the art but work nicely. The AI is very good and there are a lot of mods out there. Probably the best tactical ACW game out here at the moment.
I highly recommend this game as it is now the only one that i will play. I need to play as General Lee, however, his icon for this battle is a different grey color and when i click on it, the scenario wont load. I am currently in the middle of playing it, but i am stuck on the 30th. Thank you very much in advance. Thanks again and enjoy. I need to play the scenario to get promoted and move on in the game. Admittingly, I have played only the brigade, artillery, and division level tutorials for Take Command - 2nd Manassas and am totally impressed. Perryville. The terrain features also seem to be very realistic for a PC game. If you like wargames (especially Civil War real-time), get this game.

The online and printed manuals are great and easy to follow and the icons on the map are easily seen and easy to understand - a far cry from Divided Nation. I understand that Paradox Interactive will produce a future Civil War game that contains other Civil War battles (Shiloh. Highly recommended.
The AI in this game is not equaled in any other game that I have played. Like the title says, this game is fantastic. This game is so fun that I'm still playing the first three scenarios over and over. If you like to get your money's worth out of a game by playing it many times, than I highly suggest that you purchase this software. I have yet to get into the meat of the game. We had trouble loading the software our desktop PC (purchased in 2005). The game is lots of fun. We put it on a newer laptop, and it ran well.
