The battle system is slightly different this time, as usage of artes is encouraged, however they only add to make fighting more fun. I have played previous Tales game, this game has so much inside of it that if you spend time trying to do and complete every single thing inside this game you will have countless hours of playtime.
so I was kind of skeptical about getting this game. I just have to say, the more you play, the better this game gets. Best JRPG out there today. If you enjoy RPGs back in the 90's when I was a teenager, then check this game out. I never really played any of the tales games. Instant classic for Xbox 360.
The characters have different personalities that ocassionally clash for humorous moments. I highly recommend this game if you find anime entertaining. You don't get too engrossed into a single character as opposed to the progression of the group. The story is very light-hearted and entertaining; it is the group's overall development that'll keep you playing/watching. Playing Tales of Vesperia is participating in an anime. The game play is fairly smooth with a very interactive combat system that completely breaks the monotonous Menu-Select combat traditional RPGs deploy.
Much better than infinite undiscovery This game is very fun to play it may take a while to get used to the gameplay but once you do this game is a great addition to your collection.
If you enjoy RPG's at all, you deserve to play through this game at least once. This game reminds me of the great Grandia series from the Saturn and Dreamcast days. Better believe it. Real-time combat, great storyline and characters, pretty decent voice-acting. You won't be able to put this one down.
