As far as I can tell, its measurements are consistent and accurate. 1-2 months in, and the Taylor has been working great. After returning a defective "Weight Watchers" glass platform digital scale we decided to try a different brand.this one. One nice feature is you don't have to "tap" the scale with your foot before you step on, you can just step right on it and it weighs you.
After a week, the reading on the scale started doing its own thing. What amaze me it comes with a life time guarantee. My weight started decreasing by a phenomenal amount every time I step on the scale. So it could not of been misused. No one in my household comes close to 350 lbs.
It has been stuck on the exact same weight for 2 months. I wish I would've realized this thing was defective sooner so I could return it. Don't buy this disaster.
Even if I tried it ten times or more the reading was always the same. I could get on and off time after time and the reading would be identical every time. This causes the user to believe the scale is extremely accurate as other have reported. This could not be possible so I weighed myself holding a three pound weight. I believe this electronic scale has a chip that remembers the previous reading.
More than three pounds erases the chip. I became suspicious because no bathroom scale can be this accurate. I thought we had finally found a bathroom scale that was accurate and consistent. I repeated this experiment many times with the same result. We are looking for a replacement scale. If the present reading is within two pounds of the previous reading it shows the previous reading. The three pound weight apparently erased the chip because when I weighed myself again the scale showed I had gained 1.4 pounds.
We have had this scale for five months. We have no confidence in the scale and weigh ourselves with and without the extra weight to check. One day I weighed myself before and after breakfast. The scale recorded the same weight both times.
At least I won't trip over it in my light colored bathroom. Nice scale, I wish it were in white.
