TDK DVD-RW 4x 4.7GB (25-Pack Spindle ) Reviews

I've always had good luck with TDK audio discs on various computer drives and these video discs seem just as good. I've gone through more than half of the supply now and they simply WORK. This time I got them to use in a DVD recorder.

I have both a Toshiba & a Panasonic DVD Recorders & I've found that the vast majority of the TDK discs work fine with one, the other or both.If there might initially be a problem, i almost always find that if i wait a bit & resubmit, everything works out fine.

My inexpensive LG DVD burner in my PC and my somewhat more expensive (but more picky) Plextor burner both burn movies and other files to these disks just fine, they play back in all our "standard" DVD players around the house just fine, and they erase completely in under 2 minutes (estimate). Not much to say I think. That said, I can also mention that I've tried RW disks from a couple other common brands (Memorex, Maxell, and another I forget now.). and they had issues or didn't work at all. I've been using TDK DVD-RW 4x 4.7 GB disks for a couple years now.

It has a good price but unusable. I introduced the first disc of the 25 units spindle in my SONY VIDEO CASSETTE RECORDER/DVD RECORDER and I received the message:"The disc cannot be recorded nor played".It was rejected by the machine which was bought for.

Equipment manufacturers have apparently not agreed to any standards. These disks work great in my PowerBook and in my Philips DVD Recorder. My older DVD Recorder doesn't recognize them as recordable or playable though.
