TEAC AD500 Combination CD/Cassette Deck Reviews
Good prices as well. Bought it for a friend who is sight handicapped. He likes it very much. Was delivered within the time frame described.
CD player is the best I ever owned. Highly recommended. I wish the CD had an optical out though and the tape level meter light changed to red when above 0db. But those are the only qualms. Nice component that completes my analog/digital system. Rich sound and options. Thanks Teac for preserving analog and doing digital right in a modern new system.
Easy to "install" and use right away - no complex hookup needed. The size and price and combo unit had great appeal. I like the auto repeat function. I don't have any complaints about the sound quality or functionality of this unit. We're dinosaurs that still have come cassette tapes we like to listen to (and good luck finding a cheapo deck to use with a higher end stereo system) This little gem combines a single cd with cassette. Never used the remote, so don't know.
Dirty heads will give the playback muddy results. If you are looking for a very good unit that will play both CD's and tapes, this is a wise choice. . Craig Fenton. The entire AD500 is under twelve pounds.
As the author of the Jefferson Airplane book "Take Me To A Circus Tent" and a former radio disc-jockey (That worked in several electronic stores),, I am often asked to write and or discuss various audio products and recordings from the 60's and 70's. Enjoy the music and be well,.
The headphone jack has a volume control and the tape deck has pitch control. Teac has a strong reputation and quality for those that don't see the justification for spending more then 215.00 to 225.00. Author of the Jefferson Airplane book "Take Me To A Circus Tent".
TEAC AD500 Combination CD/Cassette Deck. As always try to use quality tapes such as Maxell or TDK for the cassette portion and please keep the tape heads clean or it circumvents the idea of a nice investment. There are a couple of terrific features included in this unit.
If you have ever found a tape sounding too fast or a bit on the slow side, you can adjust the pitch for normal playback.
contol a nice feature. Having the two media in one unit is a real space saver and convenient, too. The mechanicals and sound performance are excellent. Headphones port with its own vol. Thanks, Teac. I use it to convert old tapes to CD (via computer), as well as playing CDs and cassettes on it.
